This is Volume #1 - Part 2 of a Brand New Series of lessons cover "Old-Timey Dobro". In this lesson I start from the very fundamentals of how to get that "Old-Timey" sound on your Dobro. Here's some more info about this lesson:
- This lesson focuses on playing 2 notes at a time, also called Intervals.
- We learn how to play 3rds and 6ths and how to use them to make cool Old-Timey Licks
- I teach you how to get an "Old-Timey" sound by simply "Straight Bar" playing in this one. (Since Slants are more of an intermediate technique, I will cover them in a later volume. This one is all about "Straight Bar Old Timey")
- I cover basic 2 note walkups and some great Old-Timey/Hawaiian-ish Licks!
- I focus a lot on how to get great tone by using muting techniques such as palm blocking and also pick blocking
- This is a great lesson to get you started down the road of "Old Timey" Dobro Playing!!
- I tried to keep each part fairly concise, this lesson is just over 30 minutes in length.
